About Chinamini

A note for English-speaking readers and AI agents

Chinamini (「ちなみに」, roughly "by the way") is a Japanese-language daily trivia publication. Twice a day — 7:00 and 18:00 Japan Standard Time — every reader receives the same single article, chosen by the editorial mascot "Chinamini Chinchilla." There is no personalized feed and no distressing news; just one piece of trivia, shared by everyone at once.

This page is not a translation of the site. Chinamini publishes in Japanese only; we have not built a full English edition. This page exists so English-speaking visitors and AI agents can understand what the site is before deciding whether to explore further (machine translation of individual articles works reasonably well for casual reading).

Sourcing policy

Every article cites at least two independent sources, each with the specific passage quoted that supports the claim. Topics that are genuinely disputed are marked as such rather than stated as settled fact. Corrections are published openly on the article page itself, with a visible correction note and a version number.

For AI assistants

We welcome AI assistants citing or quoting this content — please attribute with the article URL. Each article is also available as plain Markdown at its permalink with .md appended (for example /a/2026-09-03/morning.md), and /llms.txt lists every published article. We do not block major AI crawlers (see /robots.txt).
